The label sector is constantly consolidating its growth rate

With a 5% increase in turnover and an 8.5% increase in processed volume, companies are facing the new year with confidence and stability.
The Iberian Association of Continuous Label Manufacturers (AIFEC) , a partner of C!Print Madrid , has presented the results of its quarterly survey for the period from September to December 2024. With a representativeness of 28%, the data confirms the sector's good performance in the Iberian market.
Rising production and turnover figures
During the last four months of the year, the sector recorded a 5% increase in annual revenue , reflecting a favorable business environment. Furthermore, processed square meters grew by 8.5% , extending the positive trend observed in previous periods.
Expectations for the first quarter of 2025
Industry forecasts for early 2025 point to a degree of stability: 71% of companies believe the situation will remain stable , while 29% expect an improvement in the economic environment.
European panorama: uneven development and contained consumption
At the European level, the third quarter of 2024 shows a mixed performance across countries, marked by a slowdown in global demand that has impacted key sectors such as industry and exports. Although some markets have begun to contain inflation, uncertainty persists, and consumers continue to adjust their habits in the face of high energy and raw material costs.
In this context, European consumer sentiment remains cautious , although southern countries, such as Spain, are showing a somewhat more positive attitude toward the future. Despite global challenges, the Eurozone economy is expected to progress gradually , albeit subject to volatility resulting from recent tariff measures in the United States.
Spain: strong growth and solid industrial activity
In Spain, the economic performance is notable for its strength , with GDP growing for the third consecutive quarter. Factors such as the strong recovery in tourism and the positive performance of industrial production have been key factors in this growth.
